DR. ALISON THOMPSON

Dr. Alison Thompson is a humanitarian incident commander who runs large refugee camps, field hospitals and resilience hubs in natural and man-made disasters around the world, including the Syrian and Venezuelan refugee crisis. Hailing from Australia, she moved to Miami after marrying her Cuban husband. She is currently spreading love and help in Ukraine with her fellow heroes from Third World Volunteers.

In her book The Third Wave, Alison provides an inside glimpse into what really happens on the ground after a disaster—and a road map for what anyone can do to help. She shows that with the desire to make a difference, we all have what it takes to change the world for the better.
