KIDS FASHION lifestyle photography

There are 2 types of kids fashion photography. One is where the photographer asks kids to pose - the results typically turn out more high fashion - if the photographer is good. The other type is where the kids are directed and the photographer includes a lot more movement. Those photos usually turn out a bit more authentic and fun, more lifestyle - they tell a story.

For this shoot that I recently did in collaboration with Miami-based Jane Model and Talent Agency the focus was definitely on fun and movement. The secret is to constantly think of things to do for the kids so they actually have fun.

Sometimes I bring some toys with me like a ball or soap bubbles. Most of the time that’s just a backup plan when I feel I’m out of ideas.
